How do I get prescription discounts?  Present your Michigan GOV Rx Card to your pharmacy and ask for your discount. If you don't know the regular price of the prescription you're getting, ask before presenting the card.

What pharmacies accept my card?  The Michigan GOV Rx Card is accepted at 58,000+ stores nationwide, including all major chains like CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Kmart, Target, Kroger, and Walmart.

Is my privacy protected?  We NEVER require personal information to get a Michigan GOV Rx Card, nor do we share any information with anyone else. Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us.

Does this work with insurance?  The Michigan GOV Rx Card doesn't work with your insurance at the same time, but may provide discounts on prescriptions not covered by your prescription plan, if you have a high co-pay and/or deductible; if you use a Health Savings Account (HSA); or if you're experiencing a lapse in coverage for any reason. 

Can I share my card?  Yes, your Michigan GOV Rx Card can be shared, given away, or copied to help your family and friends save money at the pharmacy. Also, every card has a Quick Response (QR) code on the back that can be scanned with most smart phones, giving allowing access to discount card information via the phone. Simply show your phone to your pharmacy to get your discounts.

Does this card really help me save on my pet's medications?  Yes. Many pet prescriptions can be filled at your local pharmacy  and are eligible for discounts with your Michigan GOV Rx Card. Please ask your veterinarian if your pet's prescription can be filled at your regular pharmacy. And remember to share some Michigan GOV Rx Card with your vet, animal hospital, groomer, or kennel so they can pass cards on to other patients and customers.

Can I get bulk cards to hand out to others? Yes. If you need cards for your pharmacy, medical practice, chamber of commerce, civic group, school district, church, or to give to employees, co-workers, family, or friends, please request free cards here.

What's the catch? There's no catch. Pharmacies count on these cards to help to bring customers in that may not otherwise get their prescriptions filled.

What if I already have Rx insurance?

Use this card for prescription medications not covered by your insurance, to share with a relative or friend, or to use for pets.

How much will I save? Average savings is 28% with savings as high as 75% off the regular price of your prescriptions.

What's my discounted price? To find out what your new price is, take your prescription and card to your pharmacy, where they can tell you the new price.

How does this work for pets? Many pet meds can be filled at your local pharmacy. Just show the card to get your discount.
